Close your eyes and focus on your breath....in and out. As you inhale allow your awareness to follow your breath, moving into the body. As you exhale allow your body to relax. Inhale awareness. Exhale relaxation.

Visualize the bright sun warming up your face.

Continue focusing on your breath, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Inhale positivity, exhale negativity.

Repeat this affirmation: May I be peaceful. May I love my whole self, may I be gentle and compassionate with myself. May I allow myself to be as I am.

Repeat as many times as needed ❤️

Is Your Lack Of Sleep Causing Your Binge Eating?

As a recovered binge eater, I'm glad you asked!

The short answer is, yes.

As a mom, sleepless nights were the norm for far too long. It wasn't until I realized I HAD to take care of myself in order to best take care of my family that it all clicked. And prioritizing sleep made the BIGGEST impact in my journey to healthly living!

Less sleep means you will feel more stress and more likely to want a quick feel good moment, such as a tasty treat. Cause you deserve it, right?

In a weight loss setting, this is not good.

No one binges on the foods we should be eating, let’s be real now.

You are more likely to choose foods you wouldn’t normally eat and eat them in higher amounts.

But that is not the problem.

The problem is when you go through this cycle day after day, week after week.

Doing that causes long term problems and keeps the binge eating cycle around. We all know how that ends.

Missing out on experiences

The painted picture of nutrition is everything we DON’T want to do.

And we wonder why no one wants to “go on a diet”- it’s made out to be a punishment.

The reality is, nutrition is FAR from punishment. We need to change how we view nutrition.

Nutrition in reality is no different than a relaxing day at the spa, spending time with your family, playing with your kids, or going on vacation.

It’s all self care.

We work hard to be our best so that we can have those experiences.

Nutrition only ADDS to those things, it should not ever take away from them.

I’m not feeling very creative right now, so I’ll get straight to the point.

The real reason why your back constantly aches has nothing to do with your back.

It actually has everything to do with your core and abdominals on the other side.

If these muscles are weak, your lower back will compensate for it and do more work than it should be.

Let this happen long enough and it’ll let you know via aches and pains.

The way out of back chronic pain is to strengthen your core.

It may take some time, but it is time well worth it.

A pain free life is always worth the effort!
